High school friends P Thugg and Dave 1 have been touring the world over the last few years as purveyors of electro funk, playing stints with legends like Hall and Oates amongst others. Hailing from Montreal, their influences include US hip hop and funk and soul grooves. Chromeo have kept their audiences dancing with hit singles like ‘Bonafide Lovin’, ‘Fancy Footwork’ and ‘Tendoroni’ as well as singing along to anthems like ‘Momma’s Boy’. The band have also lent their hand to remixing for a range of artists from Lenny Kravitz to Feist to Tiga. In between albums, they have occupied their fans with mixtapes including ‘Ce Soir On Danse!’ and a special DJ Kicks compilation in 2009. Chromeo’s third album ‘Business Casual’, the follow up to 2007′s ‘Fancy Footwork’, sees the band introducing more harmonies to their sound. There is a collaboration with Solange Knowles, who lends her voice to ‘When The Night Falls’. Plus Cassius member and Phoenix producer Philippe Zdar, a longtime Chromeo collaborator, mixed the disc.
