DJ & Musician Ben Watt brings his Buzzin’ Fly radio show to the 6 Mix, showcasing new music from his label as well as other current favourites. Formerly one half of acoustic Everything But The Girl with Tracey Thorn, a life threatening illness let Ben to discover dance music, leading the duo to collaberate with Massive Attack and have big dance hits with Missing and Walking Wounded in the late 1990s. Since then Ben has carved himself out a niche as one of the UKs most credible deep house DJs of the last decade, with tracks likely Lone Cat becoming underground hits. Since starting Buzzin’ Fly in 2003, Ben has put out a number of tracks and this year celebrates its 50th release, a collaboration between Ben, Stimming and Julia Briel called ‘Bright Star’. In his 6 Mix, Ben plays new music from Tracey Thorn, Mlle Caro and Frank Garcia alongside a selection of his own reedits of tracks including Bon Iver and The Rolling Stones. There’s also an exclusive hour long mix featuring new music from Shy Child, Primary One and Clock Opera.
